THE 6 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE REAL ESTATE AGENTS 📈

Being a real estate agent is about much more than selling houses. Or at least being a successful real estate agent is. This article looks at the 6 habits of highly effective real estate agents and breaks down how you can incorporate these practices into your own real estate business.

You ready to take your game to a whole new level? It all starts here 👇

1. USE YOUR SOCIAL PLATFORMS

We don’t mean your personal accounts, though. Your real estate business is just like any other business. And any other business would have a social media presence. But your clients don’t want to see your pics from vacation or what you had for dinner. No matter how good those pictures may be, your real estate account should contain real estate content.

Building up your presence on social media is a great way to stay directly connected to your network while building an online community with your clients and colleagues.

The more active you are and the more valuable content you provide, the more likely you are to stay at the top of your client’s minds and establish yourself as a leader in the industry.

2. DIGITALLY INTRODUCE YOURSELF

An agent overview video can be one of your most powerful tools. It allows you to introduce yourself and set yourself apart before even meeting a potential client or colleague. Especially in this day in age, with everything going digital.

An overview video is a sales pitch that is available to your audience 24/7 and always presents you in the best light. It can live on your social pages, website, paid ad campaigns. Honestly anything.

It is by far our most requested video from real estate agents, and it’s no surprise because the results say it all. Check out this example here:

3. SHOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU

If people are on a real estate page, chances are they’re going to want to see content that showcases real estate. (Duh) So including posts on your socials or sections on your website for listings and property tours is a no-brainer.

The key is to make sure the visuals are all high-quality. Because no matter how gorgeous a listing is, crappy visuals will make it look crappy. And that’s going to have the exact opposite effect.

Showing off your regular listings, client testimonials, and behind-the-scenes looks will allow your audience to peek into what it’s like to work with you. Plus, including your clients in your social content makes it incredibly likely that they’ll share the posts with their friends and followers. Therefore boosting your brand awareness while making your client feel special.

4. PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

What insights do you have that your clients would be interested in or benefit from? Market updates, trends you’re noticing, your tips on styling a house before showing it? Literally anything.

As an agent, you likely have your finger on the pulse of all the latest trends and market shifts. Sharing that information with your clients is a great way to provide value and position yourself above your competition. Just make sure the insights you’re providing are accurate and relevant. No one wants to be the source of bad information.

It’s also likely that you have connections with some experts in your industry. Whether it’s other real estate agents, vendors, designers, anyone. Teaming up to create content is a great way to show off your network and expand your audience by utilizing each other’s platforms.

5. BE AUTHENTIC

The most successful real estate agents are the ones that are trusted by their clients. And trust stems from authenticity. Of course, you will be upfront and real with your clients once you start working with them, but how can they really feel that from you before you interact?

Genuine content allows you to own your struggles and challenges and educate your audience on the steps that can be taken to overcome them.

6. ANSWER COMMON Q&AS

Your clients are going to have questions. Honestly, even people you don’t work with will always have real estate questions. Why wait until they ask them to provide answers?

Q&As are a highly engaging form of content that provides value to your audience. They can live on your website as an evergreen feature, you can turn them into regular content on your social media platforms, or use them to add more insights into your email blasts.

And the best part is, it’s essentially a never-ending stream of content. If you ever run out of questions to answer, all you have to do is ask! You can add a poll to your Insta story or ask for comments on a post asking what questions your audience wants answers to.

HAVE FUN WITH IT

You’re great at what you do, and your audience deserves to see it. Of course, content like this will have a positive impact on your business. But even more importantly, it will be a massive help to those who turn to you for advice and guidance.

We’re not going to pretend that keeping up with putting out high-quality content is easy. It’s not. But we can say that it is worth it. And if you need any help, you’ve always got us!
